Lunch Beat, a global dance movement that brings the energetic nightclub vibe to daytime, is garnering extra attention thanks to a recent, unintentionally funny Melbourne news segment of the daytime dance session in action. What started out as an underground event organized by founder Molly Ränge in 2010 in Sweden, the hour-long, drug-free, alcohol-free afternoon rave has now caught on to 90 cities around the world.
Melbourne’s Today reporter Justine Mackenzie drops in on one of the sessions, where she chats with some enthusiastic participants who rave about the experience of “busting a move in their business suit.” Watch the full segment below (including some very high-energy/awkward dance moves going on in the background).
