deadmau5, the tech-savvy electronic music maverick, is stepping into uncharted territory with his latest and most unexpected project yet: Meowingtons Simulator. A whimsical, ragdoll-style game starring his beloved cat, Meowingtons, the game offers players the chance to wreak havoc at a virtual nightclub in true deadmau5 fashion.
The teaser, unveiled via social media, offers a glimpse into the mischievous gameplay, with Meowingtons strutting across the digital dancefloor of Oberhasli Nightclub. Players can control the cat’s head and tail independently, crafting absurd dance moves as the club lights pulse to a soundtrack of dance music. Like Goat Simulator with a twist, the aim is pure chaos—no dance routine is too outrageous. A multiplayer mode allows for up to seven friends to join in the madness, complete with voice and text chat for maximum mayhem.
Developed alongside Oberhasli Studios, Meowingtons Simulator is as much a tribute to deadmau5’s playful spirit as it is to his late cat, who passed away in August 2023. It’s a lighthearted homage, combining the producer’s love for technology with his signature humor, offering a fresh and fun addition to his ever-expanding creative empire.
