[Premiere] Benny Benassi Teams Up With House Legend CeCe Rogers for Uplifting New Single “I’ll Be Your Friend”

Benny Benassi is back, and this time he’s enlisted legendary vocalist CeCe Rogers for “I’ll Be Your Friend.” “I’ll Be Your Friend” is a bright and uplifting tune that utilizes CeCe Rogers’ soulful vocals, and pays homage to the disco-inspired house that he helped popularize in the late 80s and early 90s. Rogers’ 1987 track “Someday” is widely considered to be the first house track ever signed by a major label. As for Benny, he’s been consistently putting out releases this year, as well as making regular live stream appearances too.

The track immediately opens with CeCe Rogers’ velvety smooth vocals singing the title of the song “I’ll be your…friend!” over some bright, classic sounding piano house notes. There’s some hi-hats and light pads that come in towards the end of the intro/chorus. The verses just have the hi-hat and background synth, this allows Rogers’s vocals to continue to shine and carry the track. “I’ll Be Your Friend” is a bright, groovy and uplifting single.  This should be a sure-fire Song of the Summer candidate.

“I’ll Be Your Friend” by Benny Benassi and CeCe Rogers will be out tomorrow via Ultra Records on all streaming platforms. Luckily, you can listen to it a day early, right here at Your EDM.
