Last year, Skrillex’s NEST HQ named the bass-house duo Phlegmatic Dogs “the Best of 2017,” and today the duo are back with some fresh tunes. Returning to AC Slater’s Night Bass label with a brand new EP titled No Cats, the Dogs continue to blend bass and house music in this dynamic and forward-looking EP.
No Cats opens with the single “Cuatrocats”- a drum n bass influenced tune that uses well-placed vocal samples and is sure to be known as one of the duo’s best productions. The second track of the EP is titled “Bounce,” and with a submarine deep bass cut and bouncing rhythmic pattern it’s a tune that definitely holds water to its title.

In addition to releasing their brand new EP, the Phlegmatic Dogs are also embarking on a full North American tour. They will be hitting 12 cities across the country from San Francisco to New York. The tour kicks off Friday, July 27th at Denver’s Temple, and runs through August 19th. For the last stop of the tour, the Dog’s will be closing out Destructo’s brand new All My Friends Festival.
