Since its release in early 2017, Zedd‘s “Stay” featuring Alessia Cara has not slowed down. Last night, the song tacked on another win to its long list of accomplishments at the iHeartRadio Music Awards , taking home Dance Song of the Year.
Zedd accepted the award in person and then took to Twitter to share the good news:
“Omgggg we won the @iHeartRadio Music Award for DANCE SONG OF THE YEAR!! #iHeartAwards2018 @alessiacara” — hearts and a crying face emoji solidified his excitement.
As far as radio play goes, “Stay” was enough to beat out “It Ain’t Me” by Kygo and Selena Gomez, “No Promises” by Cheat Codes featuring Demi Lovato, “Rockabye” by Clean Bandit featuring Sean Paul & Anne-Marie, and “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay.
There was a lot of star power at play during the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards — but Zedd’s smile in the photo below could outshine all of it! Congrats!
