As you guys are all well aware of by now, recap season is in full swing and now it’s SoundCloud’s turn to look back at their year. From hip-hop to electronic to pop and more SoundCloud picked out top tracks in each genre plus highlighted plenty more fun categories like Most Remixed Song, awarded to Ed Sheeran for “Shape of You,” Top Album, claimed by Lil Uzi Vert and more.
As far as EDM goes, there was, unsurprisingly, a strong presence in the end of year recap. R3hab was named Top Remixer, the playlist Best of Chill/House Nation run by SoundCloud user ilyanaazman was recognized for Top Playlist garnering a whooping 120,865 hearts and an equally ridiculous 11,584 reposts.
Two Friends also were highlighted for Top DJ Set with Episode 11 of their Big Bootie Mix claiming that title. 
Unlike Pluto also took home the coveted recognition for Top Electronic track for his Monstercat hit “Everything Black” ft. Mike Taylor which has accumulated over 3.1 million plays.
SoundCloud also highlighted Marshmello in their list of Artists Who Were On SoundCloud First And Owned The Internet In 2017 cementing SoundCloud’s reputation as an underground, tastemaker platform. Finally, they named rising DeadBeats producer DNMO one of their Artists to Watch in 2018.
