Ever since winning the Discovery Project for Electric Forest in 2015 with their track, “Forever In Silence,” Solstis has been fighting the good fight to keep that momentum going. Fortunately, that perseverance to the grind seems to have paid out for them in the form of their new single “Take Me” feat. Ally Ahern.
Solstis shares that this track is about “opening up to the world around you” and honing into those “brief moments of pure happiness you experience when you forget all of your problems.” Drawing inspiration from Kasbo, Odesza, Porter Robinson, Krane, and San Holo, Solstis encompasses the joyful vibe of these artists in this track while staying true to their signature sound. Thematically, it certainly plays well with their ‘live in the moment’ mantra and definitely puts the Chicago-based duo on my personal list of artists to watch for 2018.
