This is my first introduction to LA-based producer Tokii but the man couldn’t have made a better first impression on me. His flip of this Goldroom classic reinspires the song as a vibrant beach-side hit with Chela’s soaring vocals.
The track starts off nice and energetic right off the bat with riveting electro chords with a supremely relaxing melody. Right as we get into the drop Tokii turns up the heat with an old-school progressive house inspired drop. It’s been awhile since I’ve heard a newer EDM/progressive house style reminiscent of the early 2010s but Tokii seems to have really nailed that sound!
