Movement Detroit is right around the corner, and the city is buzzing in anticipation for their annual, unrivaled techno romp.
In celebration of the city’s essential contribution to modern dance music culture and the festival’s role as a backbone to Memorial Day weekend’s tourism flow, Mayor Mike Duggan signed a certificate officially marking the week of May 23-30 Detroit Techno Week.
In the official document, Mayor Duggan acknowledged the ever-increasing popularity surrounding electronic dance music, as well as the festival’s lasting impact on the city’s businesses, culture and reputation.
