It’s been a full 2 weeks since the edition of our Conspectus series released, due to travel related issues from yours truly… Travelers, I know your pain. This week’s 10-track special edition is dedicated to those driving or flying back from Christmas vacation. We hope this edition will have just what you need for your travel fix.
While the French duo Y&V are used to releasing on labels like Spinnin’ Records and Armada Music, their newest single “Lune” definitely caught my eye with not only its free download tag, but its intense futuristic trap style. “Lune” is followed by a more heavy, 2-step based trap anthem from our very own Your EDM Records, “Gemini” by Heuse and Ananaki. Famed house producer Paris Blohm recently surprised us with “Waves,” a collaboration with his fan Nolan van Lith. Kiso also surprised us with an incredibly chill rendition of KSHMR and Shaun Frank‘s “Heaven.” “Light Years” by Auzia is a surefire pick for any Porter Robinson fan, taking inspiration from Porter’s recent mid-tempo indie dance style.
ASTRVL‘s “Sleepless” is by far one of the best this week, instantly catching my ear on my very first listen, showing promise for the aspiring duo. ANGEMI is typically known for his bootleg remixes of Beatport chart-toppers, but made it onto our list this week with his original “Closure.” “Spaced” from Drevm, Outlit and Cherry Eye is one of the most strange tracks we’ve ever uploaded, but only seemed to surprise in the best way possible; its heavy experimental sounds mixed with modern trap styles provide a great listen. I.Y.F.F.E‘s “Laka Flame” is both hard and melodic, proving to be one of the more interesting future bass tracks I’ve come across. We’ll close this week out with “Movement” by Arizon, an absolutely gorgeous future bass anthem that won’t soon be forgotten.
