Favored Nations isn’t a new group. In fact, they’ve been around for longer than a year. So why haven’t they gotten more recognition for their infectious indie dance sound? Well, they’re all involved in bigger things.
Favored Nations is an electronic trio that consists of DJ James Curd (DFA) and Morgan Phalen (former vocalist of Diamond Nights and featured vocalist on the French duo Justice’s LP Audio, Video Disco), plus Surahn “Sid” Sidhu (touring guitarist for Empire of the Sun and has written for the likes of Usher and Kimbra). Let that sink in for a moment…
