What happened to the days when artists just did things without them being veiled in mystery? Steve Angello, master curator of the label SIZE Records, can’t even walk down the street anymore without someone talking about it. So naturally, whenever new music is involved, it’s kind of a big deal. With his former group mates Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell making a big surge this year playing festivals and releasing new music, many have been wondering if Angello would do the same. And while he’s never been the type to do exactly what others expect of him, he actually does have new music coming out this summer.

In a series of tweets last night, Angello dropped fragments of artwork with just the date 6.1, as well as a Spotify playlist of the same name. The playlist is an incredible array of music, ranging from Jay-Z’s “Hard Knock Life” to Porter Robinson’s “Sad Machine” and even The Killers’ “When You Were Young.” While nothing can be confirmed, there’s a good chance these tweets are in reference to Angello’s new album Wild Youth, or even the new track “Children of the Wild” which he tweeted about earlier this week. Either way, Steve Angello has a big announcement for us on Monday, and we’ll all be waiting patiently for the news.
