Republican presidential candidate and Florida Senator Marco Rubio was stopped outside what appears to be an airport and asked about his current taste in music by a passerby, and his reply… well, it certainly surprised us.
“You know electronic music, I’ve gotten into it a little bit with David Guetta, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia and all those guys…”
But it doesn’t end at what he listens to personally, in fact Rubio was bold enough to walk off the stage at his presidential campaign kickoff rally to Axwell /\ Ingrosso’s track “Something New.” More astonishing, however, is that he did so without permission from the famed electronic duo who have since requested that he not use their music.
“Axwell ^ Ingrosso didn’t give their permission for this song to be used and don’t want to be affiliated with a particular party during the upcoming presidential race.”
Aligning with a political party as a celebrity is always a risk, and we commend Axwell /\ Ingrosso for taking a stand against having their name tarnished by association with any singular party.
