In the wake of the Top 100 DJ list reveal this year, thousands of fans were left disappointed that their favorite DJ didn’t make the list. Even more, a lot of people high up in the industry were left with our jaws on the ground as typically critically-panned artists made the top 20 or even the top 10. It showed once and for all the real skill meant nothing to the polls, and it was clearly a popularity contest.
For what it’s worth, reddit put up their own poll to its users that spread across all the relevant subreddits like /r/trap, /r/hardstyle and /r/EDM. Though it originated in the parent /r/electronicmusic subreddit, every community was able to participate and add their vote.
With over 2600 votes, here are reddit’s top 100 DJs.

As with any subjective list, people will disagree with the order or entries. However, you have to admit that this is miles ahead of DJ Mag’s list.
A quick glance will reveal a plethora of DJ/producers who were cut out of this year’s official Top 100, like Jamie xx, Mat Zo, Seven Lions, A-Trak, Aphex Twin, Maceo Plex, Mr. Carmack, Zeds Dead, Tipper, Gesaffelstein, Infected Mushroom, Lane 8, Lido, Cashmere Cat, and more.
