Caked Up Steals Drop From Deadmau5 Remix, Still Doesn’t Get In Trouble

It should be every dance music fan’s mission to end the career of Caked Up. Seriously. How many times do we have to see these guys in the headlines for utterly disingenuous and downright loathesome business practices before enough is enough?

The ignition for this witch hunt came when Caked Up stole the drop from Jackal’s “Chinchilla” last November. Then more recently in January, they were in the spotlight again for copying and pasting a drop from a sample pack found on the producing site, LoopMasters.com.

Let’s not forget the altercation with Crizzly and the recent arrest of Vegas Banger for allegedly acting belligerently toward his girlfriend.

It is baffling how these two believe that they can continue to rip off the music of others and act like fools and continue to come out unscathed. Perhaps they’re just the two unluckiest “producers” in the world, but I doubt that.

For their latest offense, Caked Up essentially copy and pasted the drop from NIGHTOWLS’ & SPACE RACE’s remix for the deadmau5 & Dillon Francis “Some Chords” contest. They call their track “Jon Snow” and it’s available for free download, because you would have to be downright stupid to consider buying it.

Caked Up has proven to the world only one thing: that terrible human beings can exist peacefully among us. Some of you will feel we’re being too harsh, but at the end of the day, Caked Up has proven time and time again that they are willing to coast by on the hard work of other artists.

Caked Up is a black stain on our community and is an embarrassment that we have to unfortunately live with. The world will be a better place when they take a hint, retire and disappear entirely from mention.
