Season 3 Winners of NBC’s The Sing-Off, Pentatonix, are taking instrument-free music far beyond anyone’s wildest expectations. Pentatonix is an a cappella group of five vocalists, Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola. The group is named after the world’s most widely recognized five-note musical scale – the pentatonic scale. The group pairs their intricate arrangements with cleverly re-imagined pop songs and has quickly cultivated a sound and style that is entirely unique and undeniably infectious.
The group released their video “Evolution of Beyoncé” a mere 2 weeks ago, raking up an impressive 4 million views. Now the group of 20-somethings are back to take on Daft Punk, in celebration of Pentatonix’ new album, “PTX Vol II.”
In a little over four minutes, Pentatonix’ new medley covers an impressive array of Daft Punk hits, including “Get Lucky,” “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and “One More Time.” The video is extremely impressive and is sure to have your attention exclusively for its full duration.

Pentatonix are brilliant! If you like EDM you might wanna check out the song “Love again” from that new album of their’s. It’s just amazing how an acapella group can make a good dance track!
I’ve never heard daft punk’s track called “Celebrate” lol
I’m a new convert. Love everything they’ve done. Thanks Alex Howe.
